How We Handle Big Orders Using Our Forklift
As a leading plating and metal finishing company in Dorset, we take on many metal finishing projects. These can involve a large volume of items, meaning we need more than a little muscle – sometimes you just need a little help in the form of quality machinery.
We’ve already told you about our Fischerscope X-Ray, which allows us to measure the thickness of our coatings to within an accuracy of 8 microns and we’ve told you about our collection and delivery service which covers London, Hampshire and the M3 corridor. But what about pallet-loads of material? How does that get from A to B?
How we tackle big orders
Luckily at the Dorsetware facility we are in possession of a Toyota BT Cargo C4E160 Electric Counterweight. Not only does the possession of a forklift mean that we can undertake larger orders, we can process them and transport them with even more efficiency! This forklift can handle our larger orders and lift pallets that weigh up to 1600kg.
Qualified forklift operators
To go with our forklift we also have two qualified forklift drivers. We’d like to say a big congratulations to both Ann McMullen and Mark Anderson who passed the Toyota Material Handling UK certification and compliance to operate the BT Cargo!
